This workshop will provide information as well as tools and strategies on effectively impacting behavioral health policy, planning, and services. The workshop will explore methods for being an effective advocate and meaningfully participating in systems change. Advocacy makes a difference. Advocacy has changed the landscape of the behavioral health system in the last 40 years and has the potential to transform it in the future.

Learning Objectives:
1. Gain knowledge of strategies for being an effective stakeholder advocate
2. Understand the difference between inside and outside advocacy and the roles of each
3. Learn organizing methods to build support for an advocacy agenda
